Stumbled across this place and we were so delighted. Our waiter was also our bartender, and our cook. He did it all so seemlessly. They take credit card and English speaker friendly. We got the Beef Course and upgraded to the waygu beef. It came with a great little appatizer. We also had the most amazing pasta before our main course. The meat was rare and amazing. We also got a dessert at the end. I couldn’t believe it was only ¥4500 yen a person for the exceptional food and service. It’s worth it to check this place out while in Kyoto for a great meal at great price with great service.
One chef/server. Meals did not come out near each other and took very long. Some food was pretty good and other items not good at all.
Found this hidden little place by accident and consider myself lucky. The chef is also the waiter and how he manages to fill both roles so effortlessly is beyond me. Pasta was delicious and red wine (I had two different kinds) as well. A group of 7 came in while we were there and mamaged to be seated together (considering the size of the restaurant - amazing). Loved it.
Cost little place with great food,And all run by one person!? Amazing.
Very nice atmosphere and good food. Worth a meal if you're around!
Please enjoy the excellent Bolognese. The taste and the price were both Very Good! I came to think that it would be the meaning of Obanzai x Italian, but I made four stars because I did not feel a sense of obsession.
Fantastic little escape from the hustle and bustle of Pontocho Alley. Great food and even better value for money! Highly recommended.
what a great! delicious dishes and nice atomosphere. only 2 staffs but they looks kind. one of dishes we ordered was sauté of egg plant, was best for me! want to go this restaurant again oneday. owing to the restaurant, our trip became awesome.
Without a doubt the worst dining experience we had in Japan. Spaghetti was essentially cup noodles with cold mozeralla squares. The pizza was the size of a pancake and dry, and yet I count myself the lucky one, as my wife had the wagyu beef and spent the night cradling the toilet bowl.
There was lunch 1400 yen 1900 yen 5 thousand yen. I received about 1900 yen. Salad, spaghetti, meat, dessert, spaghetti and meat were chosen from two kinds. After a pizza margherita with a choice, I had a big sausage. It was delicious. There were many other things as well. There were plenty of drinks and a lot of wine. It also seems to do at night.
One man takes the order and also cooks the food. Wagyu was delicious!
Great Bolognese and great value for money. Small portions but still would recommend for a light dinner or order two dishes per person
Amazingly this restaurant is a one man show. The owner takes orders, cooks and waits on tables. He does a wonderful job in each role and apart from seeing him do gymnastics in the kitchen you'd never know there wasn't a full staff. The food was amazing. Seriously. He informed us that he trained in Florence and just really knows what he's doing. Every dish we tried was worth writing home about. There was room for quite a few couples. While we were there, there was only one other group and everything came out quickly. I have no idea how he could possibly manage a full house but who knows maybe he's just a genius.Go to this place. Go many times.
2019/6/8 (Sat) LunchVery delicious. Even the cold is delicious.
Very good but a bit experience for the size of the portions. The dessert is highly recommend (green tea tiramisu).
Good not great.
One man show, didn’t get food simultaneously- the rest of the persons were done eating while I got mine. The pizza was half pre-made, and the risotto was next to terrible. The drinks was also somewhat bad, and given it was all one man doing everything, it took a long time to get the food and everything. The atmosphere is however really nice
I like seafood menu.
A very good restaurant ! Fresh food, the owner/waiter is serious, patient. I recommend it
It's delicious! Kyoto's hermitage ItalyPlenty of wine, reasonable food!
What a Gem of a place. Fabulous freshly cooked food, great ingredients and what a Host! V chilled atmosphere.
What a find! Excellent quality food and wine. Loved the Bolognese so much, our group ordered another to share! Really intimate setting. One table that could sit 4-6 people and six seats at the bar. Something very endearing about have one Waitor/Barmen/Chef who had everything under control and produced such a brilliant product
Very bad. The pizza was tiny, also on the four cheeses we put honey, a really bad salty sweet mix. The base was a cabbage of piadina / schiacciata heated in the microwave. The menu is visibly translated with google translator. Totally unsatisfactory.
